THE LIFEPLACE, Founder & CEO:  Founded and managed a company with a mission to “celebrate new possibilities for taking care of ourselves, our friends and our families.” LifePlace retail stores were created to sell helpful products and caring gifts, especially for seniors and others with special health needs and disabilities, and for those who care for them. LifePlace products were distributed through retail stores at Mall of America & Rosedale Center, catalogs and the internet, through a mobile van service that demonstrated and sold products direct to senior living facilities, and in a Grandstand Booth at the Minnesota State Fair.

PARK NICOLLET, HEALTH CARE PRODUCTS—Director of Marketing:  Developed and directed a marketing, merchandising and internal sales department for The Stores @ Park Nicollet, a $60 million subsidiary of Park Nicollet Health Services, to select, purchase, distribute and market health and care related products to support the health, healing and learning of patients and their families through 35 stores, 90 point of care locations, an ecommerce site and direct mail catalogs. Managed the capital design and construction process for 5 new stores within the health care setting, including the facilitation of architects and contractors and the coordination of both external and internal staff.

SIMPLY RETAIL—Healthcare Specialist: Provided professional consulting services to health systems to help them develop retail and earned income strategies for health and care related products and cash-based services in order to better satisfy the changing needs of their patients and to increase their revenue base. Clients included: Allina Health Systems, MN; Woodwinds Hospital, MN; Park Nicollet Health Services, MN; International Diabetes Center, MN; Watertown Hospital, WI; Edwards Health System, IL.

ASPEN MEDICAL GROUP—Director of Care Products:  Developed and directed a new retail initiative to make health and care products more available to patients to support their self-care needs through CareKiosks in patient care lobbies, and designed new services to meet the changing needs of health care consumers.

HEALTHEAST CARE SYSTEM—Optimum Rehab + Lactation Services: Developed the CareKiosk concept to sell retail products to patients through a lobby-based sales kiosk in their physical therapy and lactation consulting areas, including improved cash handling processes.

ORTHOPEDIC SPORTS INSTITUTE– Physical Therapy:  Developed a CareKiosk & new cash handling system for their PT clinic.

COMMUNITY HEALTH RESOURCES—CEO & Founder:  Founded and managed a non-profit company providing consulting and professional services to hospitals and other agencies engaged in Community Health Improvement activities, including: Planning, implementation and evaluation of Community Health Improvement projects; marketing and public relations for community health initiatives; resource planning and fundraising for health care and community agencies.
